Originally released in 1967 as the b-side of their single "Wonderful" (Ode Records ZS7 101), this single was later reissued in 1969 as the a-side, retitled "A Stoney End". With a bit of remixing, it is basically the same backing track that was used for Peggy Lipton's version also produced by Lou Adler (with The Blossoms doing the backing vocals).
