From 1965, here is one of the last singles by Chuck Girard and the Castells, a remake of the Bob Gaudio penned tune An Angel Cried, which had been recorded earlier by Hal Miller backed by the Rays (who were really the Four Seasons) and then again recorded by the Four Seasons on their Rag Doll album. This happens to be my favorite version of the song. This one was even arranged and produced by Gary Usher. Surprisingly, this record didn't even chart regionally for the group, which is a shame as it is a great song. Enjoy!
