After 15 years of record collecting and very, very extensive A/B testing between vinyl and CD (more than 400 albums at the moment) I have become a great believer in CDs over vinyl, BUT there are some cases where the vinyl record simply sounds better than the CD. And then there are cases, like Eclection, where the CD issue went terribly wrong. I seriously believe the two CD issues of Eclection was made from an old cassette tape! No joke! So, the original record still sounds better. Which is what I present to you here. Recorded with the magnificent Rega RP-3 with a Rega Exact needle (Rega's best MM needle) and the magnificent Parasound Z-Phono phono stage. Honestly, I only like "Violet Dew" and especially "Another time another place" (the latter I see as a bonafide classic), which is why I haven't uploaded the rest.
