The little-known original version of ''Burning Love'' by country soul singer Arthur Alexander. This version was released on Alexander's self-titled album in April 1972, 4 months prior to the ubiquitous Elvis version. That version (released exactly 19 years before I was born) would go on to reach #2 (stopped by Chuck Berry's ''My Ding-A-Ling'') on the Hot 100 (Presley's 40th & final Top 10 hit) & #36 on the country chart.
