The Shifting, Whispering Sands (Gilbert-Gilbert) by Rusty Draper, with the Jack Halloran Singers, orchestra conducted by David Carroll (CD audio source)

Though the also-posted Billy Vaughn version took up both sides of his Dot single, it was Part 2 that received the majority of airplay. Draper Carroll & Halloran used that Vaughn B-side as the model for their own one-sided version of "The Shifting Whispering Sands," which charted #3 juke box, #6 sales.
