Some people are looking forward to dying. And one such person is the narrator in the song by the soul singer O.V. Wright, who appeared on the Hi label which made Al Green a star. "Soon I will be done with the troubles of the world", he sings in "I'm Going Home To Live With God" from 1973. Wright had a troubled life himself. In the mid-'70s he was jailed for drug possession, and he died from a heart attack in 1980. He was only 48 years old.
