Shamelessly ripping off the Beatles at the dawn of Beatlemania, here are THE BUGGS! This goofy single features the Beatle song with altered lyrics in which the Beatles are referred to as "some gang." Funny!
The Buggs also released a different recording of this song on the LP "The Beetle Beat" by The Buggs (Coronet Records, a division of Premier Albums, New York City, CXS-212 in Stereophonic), where it is proudly stated on the cover that it was "Recorded in England."
The single version you hear here is brighter and sounds better. And has the altered lyrics.
I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND (Lennon - McCartney), from the 45 rpm single on the Minneapolis, Minnesota based label Soma Records (1413).
Be sure and check out other treasures on this YouTube channel, Psych Rock & Loner Folk.
