The Capitol Showband was one of Ireland's very best during the great showband years.With a multi-talented line up of superb singers and instrumentalists they very quickly conquered the showband scene to become a top draw,not only in Ireland,but beyond.The Capitol were the very first showband to appear at the famous London Palladium. They made several trips to America and had numerous chart entries.'Streets of Baltimore',featuring Des Kelly on lead vocals, reached #3 in the Irish charts in 1967.This video is for educational purposes or social commentary only.No copyright infringement is intended.
