I hadn't intended to post this because the opening and most of bio aren't there! But 'bobik212' asked me to please post it anyway, so I did. If anyone has a more complete copy for this Perry Como KCH portion, please let me know and I will remove this. In case no one knows, a barbershop quartet is featured because Perry started out in a barbershop quartet!) Also singing a tribute to Perry are Diahann Carroll & Vic Damone, which is one of THE BEST DUETS I've ever seen of any two people. So good I've posted them in a separate video. They were newly married here (1987 to 1996). The other honorees this evening were Bette Davis, Sammy Davis, Jr., Nathan Milstein (violin), and Alwin Nikolais (choreographer) - I have posted them all separately.

Just talking about Perry Como at supper tonight with my wife in Ottawa, Canada. So glad you shared this special so we could remember the " good times"Thanks so much.I think those under 40 won't remember. But I used to watch his show in the 60's and 70's.

Perry was the BEST--No matter how bad a day I had, I would listen to one of his records or watch him on TV  and I was smiling. Audiences loved him as he put on no airs for anyone. Talent, looks, charming and an idol to millions. I would love to have this complete video of Perry being honored at the Kennedy Center in 1987.
