This track was written by Julius Wechter, and was recorded, in one form or another, by all the heavy hitters of the A&M label...
...Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass, Julius Wechter & The Baja Marimba Band, Sergio Mendes & Brazil 66....
This version, by England's Kathy Kirby, was released in Australia in 1966 as the flipside of a Decca 45, Y7289.
The A. side was "Till The End Of Time", which I've also uploaded to YouTube.
Even though this was pretty much at the end of Kathy's run of hits, both sides got some airplay in Australia...the flipside more so than the A. side, however, the A. side actually charted in Perth.
(Of course, the entertaining Spanish FLEA should not be confused with the Spanish FLY, which provided an entirely different form of entertainment!!!)
This upload is from the original 45.
