The Merseys were formed after the breakup of The Merseybeats and were produced by Kit Lambert who was also producing The Who.
After charting with Sorrow , The Merseys followed this up with So Sad About Us , a Pete Townshend song originally recorded by The Who. The Merseys single version did not chart.
