The album was mixed, but to be reviewed by Apple first, as group left for tour
Singles planned "I'll Be The One" and "Name Of The Game"
George Harrison and Phil Spector remixed an Al Kooper overdubbed "Name Of The Game" but ultimately they killed the singles and the album release.
George started a new album as producer and that was finished by producer Todd Rundgren - in what was to become "Straight Up".

This remaster is from a tape copy - there are some dropouts - but it is made as analog a sound as possible to recreate a feel for what the LP may have come out like.

Orchestral arrangements - George Martin - John Barham has been credited for "Name Of The Game" at times , but Geoff Emerick says it does sound more like George's work, especially he is sure it is George Martin for "Money/Flying." Geoff used three different arrangers during his time producing Badfinger (also Harry Robinson).

I've lobbied for years to get a CD package with this original album and Straight Up packaged with demos, outtakes and rare live performances of the time. But it has never happened, for various reasons. Maybe one day ....
