This unique EMIDISC acetate disc of Peter & Gordon's "Woman" was written, arranged by Paul McCartney and contains a PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED SESSION of this song with PAUL MCCARTNEY PLAYING DRUMS.
"Woman" was recorded twice by Peter and Gordon, the first session was on the 1st December 1965. Paul McCartney was present for this session, he arranged the orchestra for his composition and also played drums on the session. However, unhappy with the finished product, Peter and Gordon returned to the Studio on the 31st December 1965 to completely re-record the track, this time with a bigger orchestral sound - this version of the song was released as a single in early 1966. This meant that this Paul McCartney's version of the song was never released.
