The Fontane Sisters were a sibling trio (Bea, Geri and Marge Rosse) from New Milford, New Jersey who first gained recognition from being featured on Perry Como's radio and television shows. They also did backup on some of Como's recordings until they signed with Dot Records in 1954. Over the next six years they had 18 songs hit the Billboard Hot 100 and ten in the top 40. They retired from the recording business in 1961 prefering private life to the grind of touring and mixing with the new rock 'n' roll members of the music scene.
All three are deceased: Geri in 1993, Bea in 2002 and Marge in 2003.
