This is a masterful interpretation by Aladdin (Aladdin Pallante) of "The Shifting, Whispering Sands", from a 1964 Lawrence Welk show. "The Shifting, Whispering Sands" was a major 1950s hit record originally recorded by Billy Vaughn.
Aladdin was a craftsman of many talents: A violinist with the Welk orchestra, a truly smooth vocalist, a powerful actor and interpreter of recitational pieces, a clever comedian and pantomimist, and a master of dialects.
