Elton John on piano on this track by The Family Dogg, a British vocal group featuring Albert Hammond, Steve Rowland & Mike Hazlewood. This song, written by Roger Cook & Roger Greenaway, was a hit single off their first album, also called "A Way of Life". Elton (Reg Dwight) did a lot of session work in the late 60s and early 70s, both on piano and vocals.
